Bullock VINELink Coverage
Alabama VINELink provides custody and case information where participating records are available. Alabama VINE phone support is 1-877-846-3425. Alabama VNS is a related state notification layer with a key limit: it is for offenders convicted in Alabama and sentenced to ADOC custody. For a case not yet tried, the Alabama VNS page tells users to contact the sheriff in the county where the crime occurred.
This distinction is Bullock's Section 19 VINELink angle. A person released from Bullock County Jail before trial may not be a VNS-only record. A person released from Bullock Correctional Facility after an ADOC sentence may fit the ADOC/VNS path.
Search a Bullock Inmate
Use VINELink as a one-person check. Name-only searches can return similar names, so compare identifiers carefully.
- Open the Alabama VINELink state page.
- Search by name or available identifier.
- Open the matching record if one appears.
- Read the custody status and source agency.
- If no record appears, do not assume no release happened. Contact the Bullock sheriff for county-jail or pretrial cases.

Register for Release Alerts
Notification registration is useful when the person is still in a covered custody record and the user needs a custody-change alert. It is not a certified release record.
- Select the correct record in VINELink or VNS.
- Choose the notification option.
- Add phone, email, SMS, TTY, or app contact details when offered.
- Create a PIN for phone notifications if prompted.
- Complete confirmation and update contact data if it changes.

Limits for Bullock Releases
VINELink and VNS do not replace the Bullock jail release record, the Bullock court file, or ADOC records. If the person was released from Bullock County Jail on bond, time served, dismissal, or transfer, the sheriff and court are the core sources. If the person was sentenced to ADOC, use ADOC records and VNS. If federal or ICE custody is involved, use BOP or ICE instead.
Alert limit. A release alert confirms a custody-status change. Official release records come from the agency that held or supervised the person.
Bullock Pretrial Cases
Alabama VNS itself creates the main Bullock distinction. The VNS page says it is for offenders convicted in Alabama and sentenced to ADOC custody, and for cases that have not gone to trial the user should contact the sheriff in the county where the crime occurred. For a Bullock pretrial detainee, that means the sheriff and court remain the primary route. VINELink may still be checked, but a missing VINE result should not be read as proof that no custody or release event exists.
If the court case later results in an ADOC sentence, the record path changes. ADOC current search may show the person while incarcerated. VNS notification registration may then become relevant. ABPP may matter if parole or probation follows release.
Notification Contact Changes
VINE-style phone notifications can require a PIN to confirm calls and stop repeated alerts. Keep that PIN and update phone or email details when they change. Alabama VNS notes that users registered in a prior version of the system must register again on the newer site. That detail matters for people who expect an old registration to keep working without checking the account.
